This is an outstanding 1979 Austin Morris Clubman Estate. Finished in Pastel Turkis Blue with an Old English White roof, it is a car that really puts a smile on your face.
Originally with a 998cc engine and automatic transmission, it was later changed to have manual transmission and a 998cc from a later Mini in around 2005/06, both conversions respectively updated on the V5C. Other upgrades on the engine include a Stage One kit, a Fletcher radiator, an electronic distributor, and a Metro Turbo custom rocker cover. Additionally, the suspension has received a full overhaul with new Spax adjustable shock absorbers, Hi-Lo kit, negative camber arms and new track rod ends.
Also to note, the brakes have been vastly improved, benefitting from vented and grooved discs with four-pot callipers on the front, and Minifin brake drums on the rear. All of this work is recorded amongst its exstensive service history which consists of an original handbook, accompanying invoices, and photographs of its restoration, in which the previous owner spent over £5,000.
Since our the vehicle has been with us, it has undergone a deep cosmetic restoration, as seen in the photographs below.
